First Misprint is part of a new series exploring intentional errors within rigid, algorithmic structures.
The composition is generated in JavaScript using Truchet tiles, engraved into birch plywood with a laser cutter, and printed by hand on a vintage Korrex proofing press.
Because of the manual printing process, each impression differs subtly. Misalignment, pressure variations, and small ink smears are not corrected but embraced as integral to the work.
This series is not about perfection, but about control giving way—slightly, deliberately.
