I also make the wood engravings on a commission basis. From an existing photo, or in collaboration with a photographer, I will create a beautiful wood engraving for you. A special work of art, made of oil paint and wood, made with attention.
Standard dimensions 60x60 cm or 60x80 cm, in a box frame. Other dimensions are possible in consultation.
This is a (largely) handmade work, please take into account a delivery time of 6-8 weeks after order. The linseed oil takes several weeks to harden.

I make the wood engravings by cutting very fine lines in wood with a self-built laser cutting machine. Then I make an oil paint from different pigments and linseed oil. This is applied manually to the lines, washed several times and reapplied. This results in a work that is a particularly refined interplay of lines up close and a realistic portrait from a distance.
